Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center at Valley Hospital

The Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center at Valley Hospital has been able to heal the vast majority of patients' nonhealing wounds within 12 to 16 weeks of treatment. With its hyperbaric oxygen capabilities, the Center also provides an extensive array of treatments, including treating patients with diabetic foot ulcers, radiation injuries to tissue and bone, necrotizing infections, compromised skin grafts and skin flaps and some types of arterial insufficiency and ischemia.

Nurse wrapping ankleA chronic wound is one that does not heal after conventional treatment. If a wound does not heal within 30 days, a physician should be consulted. If a person has certain risk factors, such as diabetes or circulatory disease, a wound care physician should be consulted immediately upon appearance of a nonhealing wound.

Medical Stabilization Program

New Vision is an inpatient medical stabilization program that treats patients with prescription drug, illicit drug and alcohol issues, as well as health issues related to impending or active withdrawal. Clinically, symptoms are treated with medication protocols specific to the substance from which the patient is withdrawing.
