Senior Health Fair on May 20

Desert Springs Hospital will hold its second annual Senior Health Fair on May 20 in the hospital lobby. There will be free screenings for peripheral artery disease, vision and foot problems, high blood pressure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Information will be available on diabetes, medication management, healthy eating, Medicare assistance, Senior Advantage, wound care, weight-loss surgery, volunteer services and more. For more information, please call 702-369-7911.

Free PAD Screenings
Enjoy a free screening for peripheral artery disease, a condition that can restrict blood flow to the arteries, especially the legs. This disease often has no symptoms and is common among people who are over age 50, smoke or have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes or a family history of these conditions.
