Summerlin Hospital’s new Outpatient Therapy Center offers some of the latest exercise equipment available for rehabilitation. The facility also has special equipment specifically designed to treat various medical conditions, like hand injuries.

Summerlin residents recovering from an illness or injury or those living with certain disabling conditions no longer have to travel outside of Summerlin to receive comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services.

Patients can obtain the rehabilitation services they need to maximize their health at the new Outpatient Therapy Center at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center -- the only facility in Summerlin that offers outpatient rehabilitation therapy.

"Many people don't complete their prescribed full course of therapy or get the full benefit of rehabilitation when obtaining services is inconvenient," says Kerrie Iannuccilli, PT, Therapy Services Director at Summerlin Hospital. "Now it's easier for Summerlin residents to reach their potential because high-quality outpatient rehabilitation services are available close to home."

Comprehensive Care
The new Center offers services to people of all ages recovering from a variety of neurological and orthopedic conditions, including:

• Sports injuries
• Traumatic injuries, such as those sustained in falls or motor vehicle accidents
• Arthritis
• Hand injuries and conditions
• Joint surgery
• Stroke or other vascular disease
• Job-related injuries

Depending on patients' individual needs, the Center's experienced staff can provide physical, occupational and speech therapy, nutritional support, psychological services and social services support.

The Center also features top-of-the-line weight-training and aerobic equipment, as well as a full range of devices to reduce pain, improve movement and increase function.

"The new Center provides a continuity of rehabilitation care," says Iannuccilli. "Patients can obtain specialized inpatient rehabilitation services at the hospital's RehabCenter and comprehensive outpatient services at our new facility."
