Free Leg Circulation Screenings
Desert Springs Hospital's Leg Circulation Center conducted its 1,000th ankle brachial index (ABI) screening recently to test for peripheral artery disease. Catherine Ulrich was the lucky person who had the free screening done. To schedule your free screening, please call the Leg Circulation Center at 702-369-7979.

Helipad Construction

Desert Springs Hospital is building a helipad behind its Emergency Department to make it easier for critically ill patients to be quickly transported to the hospital when minutes count. This is just one component of the hospital's Regional Referral Center, which provides specialty care in neurology, cardiology and surgery to patients in outlying cities such as Laughlin.

October Festival
The 17th Annual Health and Diabetes Festival will be held at Desert Springs Hospital on Saturday, October 4, from 10 AM to 1 PM.

More than 100 exhibitors will showcase the latest in diabetes treatment and education. Several free screenings will also be available to test for various complications that are commonplace for people with diabetes. For more information, please call the Diabetes Treatment Center at 702-369-7560.
