Dispenses Medicine

Valley Hospital offers InstyMeds, an automated medication-dispensing system that features the most commonly prescribed medications for patients discharged from the Emergency Room (ER). Located in the ER lobby, patients can use the machine to fill their prescriptions before leaving the hospital. The machine can calculate patient co-pays and accepts cash, credit cards and debit cards. A pharmacist is available by telephone 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer questions.

 

Substance Abuse
Program Available

New Vision is an inpatient medical stabilization program that treats patients with prescription drug, illicit drug and alcohol issues, as well as related health issues, for impending or active withdrawal. Clinically, symptoms are treated with medication protocols specific to the substance from which the patient is withdrawing. New Vision staff also discusses aftercare options such as inpatient or outpatient treatment center and 12-step support meetings. For more information, please call 702-477-6500.

 

Surgical Services Expansion
A $23 million surgical services expansion and renovation is under way at Valley Hospital. Upon completion, the area will feature 11 new operating suites, including two open-heart rooms, three endoscopy procedure rooms and larger pre- and postoperative patient care areas.
