Chest Pain Center Reaccredited
Desert Springs Hospital recently received its full Cycle II Chest Pain Center accreditation with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention from the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
Diabetes Education and Treatment
The Diabetes Treatment Center at Desert Springs Hospital provides education, outreach and screenings to Southern Nevadans. It is recognized by the American Diabetes Association for meeting national standards for diabetes self-management education. The center offers diabetes education classes and individual consultations in English and Spanish for adults with type 1, type 2, gestational and pre-diabetes.The inpatient diabetes program at Desert Springs was the first in the nation to earn a Certificate of Distinction for Advanced Inpatient Diabetes by the Joint Commission. The program is currently in the renewal process.
