The Valley Health System
One of the most rewarding aspects of working in healthcare is to see the positive difference we make in the lives of our patients and community. The opportunity to offer high-quality care encompasses many different aspects, from providing hands-on patient care and a broad range of medical specialties to building new hospitals.

To meet these growing needs, the hospitals of The Valley Health System continually reinvest in their infrastructures. Summerlin Hospital is completing a patient tower expansion, which will make it the third largest hospital in Las Vegas. Spring Valley Hospital is preparing to open a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Meanwhile, Valley Hospital is putting the finishing touches on the first phase of a surgical services expansion. Eleven new surgical suites will be operational by late summer.

Summerlin Hospital
Summerlin Hospital's new ER opened in December 2008, and construction continues on the new 176-bed patient tower, scheduled to open at the end of this year.

Spring Valley Hospital, Level III NICU
Spring Valley Hospital’s new Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, with oversized bays and a family friendly environment, opens summer 2009.

Our five hospitals are conveniently located throughout Las Vegas to care for our patients located in the northwest (Centennial Hills Hospital), the western suburbs (Summerlin Hospital), the southwest (Spring Valley Hospital), the southeast (Desert Springs Hospital) and the northeast and central Las Vegas (Valley Hospital).

Additionally, our reach extends to communities in Nevada, Arizona and California. We're proud to offer educational support to area emergency medical services (EMS) professionals and work with outlying hospitals to closely coordinate care for patients who are transferred to one of our hospitals.

We also work with special populations to provide access to medical care. For example, the Children's Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital makes advanced care accessible to our youngest patients.

From electronic charting to the use of evidence-based medicine to ongoing educational classes for clinical staff, the issue of safety and quality care remains the number one priority of every employee. On behalf of the more than 5,000 employees of The Valley Health System, thank you for your ongoing support of our healthcare providers and our hospitals.
